Information
Bichon Poo
The Bichon Poo is a delightful blend of the affectionate Bichon Frise and the intelligent Poodle, resulting in a lovable companion that can seamlessly fit into family life. Originating from a balanced mix of two beloved breeds, Bichon Poos are known for their friendly demeanor and adaptability, especially in homes with young children, other dogs, or even cats. With their moderate size and charming personality, they quickly become cherished family members who offer endless love and companionship.
While their energy levels are balanced, Bichon Poos enjoy regular playtime and daily walks to keep them healthy and happy. Thankfully, they thrive in apartment settings, making them ideal for various living situations. Their moderate grooming needs, requiring just weekly maintenance, coupled with their lower shedding levels, also make them a great choice for those sensitive to allergens.
Trainability is another appealing trait of the Bichon Poo, as they have a natural eagerness to learn and a degree of intelligence that makes them quite responsive to commands and training sessions. With a bark tendency that is moderate, they can alert you to visitors without being overly noisy, allowing for a harmonious household. If you are considering welcoming a Bichon Poo into your family, you will find they offer the perfect blend of fun, love, and companionship, making them a perfect match for both new and seasoned pet owners in Petland Alpharetta, Georgia.
The Bichon Poodle is more of a teddy bear-like breed and they are suitable to be pets and lapdogs. They are suitable for show and also serve as the classic home dogs. Since it is a hybrid, it does take all of the features of its parents.
Petland is honored to offer the highest quality Poochon puppies who will be an instant in your family.
History
The Bichpoo is also known as a Poochon or Bichon. This breed is a mix between a Toy Poodle and a Bichon Frise. The Bichpoo originated in the 1990s in Australia and was bred specifically for families that were searching for an active dog that was calm enough to be around children and other pets in the household. The Poochon’s parent, a Toy Poodle, was first bred in Germany and is a bright and athletic dog who makes a great companion. The Poochon’s other parent, the Bichon Frise, is originally from the Mediterranean.
Personality
With an upbeat, lovable, and friendly personality, the Poochon is a joy to be around. They inherited their warm temperaments and easy-going personality from their parents. They are also very intelligent dogs, many thanks to their Poodle parent. This kid-friendly dog makes a great family pet and even does well with other pets in the home.
Appearance
The Poochon can be found in a variety of stunning colors. The most common are solid tan, apricot, black, grey, and cream but can also be found in different blends and variations of these colors. Making sure to take the time to properly groom the Poochon is very important. Daily coat brushing will prevent matting and knots from occurring. Should his coat begin to form knots, consider applying a small amount of dog anti-tangler spray and gently work the mat out. Bi-weekly baths will also help keep his coat looking its best.
Care
Pooches, especially when puppies, are very energetic and need a lot of energy. Feeding him high-quality dog food two times a day is a good way to properly fuel his growing and active body. Many Poochon owners tend to serve their dogs meals every twelve hours. This has shown to be a good balance of nutrition. Proper teeth cleaning for your puppy is also very important for his health and should occur three times every week.
